Your BGE gas and electric meters are precision instruments that measure how much energy you use. Because your bill is based on meter readings or estimations, our meters are monitored regularly by the Maryland Public Service Commission to ensure they are accurate.

 

Special Needs Customers
Customers with special needs are located throughout our service area, so it is not possible to prioritize restoration to individual customers when there are extensive power outages.  However, BGE will attempt to contact customers with special needs, such as someone with a serious illness or someone who is on life support, to provide notification about an upcoming planned outage, or to warn of the possibility of an impending severe storm so that the customer can implement a back-up plan.

 

Property Managers
Landlords and property owners/managers can manage their accounts online. This free service is available only to those who participate in BGE's Automatic Change Name Program.
