Welcome to BGE’s Educational Initiatives
At BGE we know that educators play a critical role in teaching elementary and middle school students to take positive action in the areas of energy conservation and electrical and natural gas safety. BGE provides educators in our service area with practical tools they can use in the classroom to teach children and young adults these important lessons. BGE sponsors the following BGE Educational Initiatives:
Free curriculum-based materials for the classrooms: BGE is offering teachers and students various age-appropriate educational booklets, as well as a newsletter, all free of charge. The booklets were developed with the assistance of utility efficiency and safety experts, teachers, parents, and curriculum specialists. The materials meet state and national educational standards for science, health and safety.

Our education program is now e-Smart! Visit us to see the new website for students, parents and educators called e-Smartkids. e-Smartkids is an online meeting place for ongoing energy education, including electrical and natural gas safety, energy efficiency and environmental awareness. It contains the latest information presented through fun and interactive online technologies.
