Scholarships – It’s All Up to You!
In addition to competitive wages, your individual performance may lead to opportunities to earn money toward your college education. All scholarships are awarded after each year’s internship or co-op with BGE, and continued participation is based on your individual performance.

Performance Based Scholarships
Awarded to a select group of college students who participate in the BGE internship program and demonstrate exemplary performance and an outstanding work ethic.

*Scholarships range between: $1,000 - $3,000.

Co-op Scholarships
Provided to qualified students who work for BGE for one full semester, either full- or part-time, and who meet the requirements of the program. Individual performance is a determining factor.

*Scholarships range between: $2,500 - $5,000 (dependent upon part-time/full-time employment).

Local University Diversity Scholarships
BGE has partnered with local universities to create special scholarship opportunities for students whose focus of study meets BGE’s long-term staffing needs. The company’s current focus is on students seeking engineering degrees who are strong academically and have an extensive extracurricular background.

*Scholarship payments up to $5,000 (based on several criteria set forth by the schools and BGE).

Presentation Scholarships
As part of the summer internship program, each student must create and deliver an end-of-year presentation. Scholarships in the form of gift certificates to your college book store or educational supply store are awarded to the top presenters.

*Scholarships range between $50 – $500
