2006 BGE Environmental Achievement Awards
This award recognizes and honors individuals and/or teams who made significant contributions to help BGE meet or exceed our environmental goals.

James Run Gas Main Relocation Project
BGE worked closely with the Maryland State Highway Administration on a bridge replacement project over James Run. BGE team members planned, engineered, designed, handled the permitting process and constructed both a temporary and permanent replacement for an existing 20" gas transmission main. The job was designed to include the support of the old bridge structure, ensuring minimal environmental impact. Both the Maryland State Highway Administration and the Maryland Department of the Environment complimented BGE on our performance.
