Recently, the "TODAY" show sent cameras to the homes of two BGE customers to see if they could reduce their energy usage by practicing simple conservation measures and using Smart Grid technology.
BGE provided both families with a BGE Home Quick Energy Check-up and a Home Performance Energy Audit with ENERGY STAR® to identify simple ways to increase energy efficiency. Before the audits, each home received smart meters, a Peak RewardsSM programmable thermostat and daily information on their electric usage to help them monitor consumption and change their energy habits for the better.
