Electric Universal Service Program EUSP is a state program designed to help limited-income customers pay the electric portion of their bills. The program provides: bill payment assistance; arrearage retirement; and targeted weatherization services. -
Maryland Energy Assistance Program (MEAP) - MEAP provides a grant for qualifying customers and is available once each heating season. However, customers may apply anytime during the year. Call 1-800-352-1446. Energy assistance applications as well as MEAP and EUSP brochures are available for download from the Maryland Department of Human Resources Web site. -
Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) - If you qualify for MEAP, you may also be eligible to receive weatherization services through the Weatherization Assistance Program. Ask about weatherization when you apply for your energy assistance grant or contact your local weatherization office. -
Utility Service Protection Program (USPP) - In order to qualify for USPP, you must participate in MEAP. USPP provides a means for limited-income customers, who qualify and comply with the payment terms of the USPP agreement, to protect their utility service. -
Customer Assistance Maintenance Program (CAMP) - When you participate in USPP, you can qualify to earn monthly bill credits ranging from $7 to $12 on the Customer Assistance Maintenance Program (CAMP). The amount of your credit is based upon your income. |  |
