I have completed the registration process but when I sign in I receive the message "BGE User Sign In Failed". What can I do?
-
If you attempted to Sign In before you responded to the confirmation e-mail we sent to you, you will need to wait one hour before your UserID can be used. (This delay is a security requirement.) Please try to sign in again after waiting one hour.
-
Please verify you are using the correct User ID and password. Keep in mind, the passwords are case sensitive; be sure Caps Lock is not on.
I completed the registration process but I did not receive a confirmation e-mail. What can I do?
- Verify that your Spam Blocker is not preventing delivery or moving the email from BGE to your junk email folder. Configure your Spam Blocker to allow emails from DoNotReply@BGE.COM. (Note: If you choose to pay your bill online at www.BGE.com, you will also need to add mybillingrep@bge.com to your list of allowable email addresses.)
- Register again. You may have inadvertently entered an incorrect e-mail address during the registration process.
- Wait for the e-mail to arrive. Some e-mail providers are very slow delivering e-mail, sometimes taking hours. Please wait for our e-mail before attempting to sign in to BGE.com. Attempting to sign in before receiving the e-mail will result in your User ID being "locked out" for 1 hour.
I completed the registration process but I deleted the confirmation e-mail and cannot recover it. What can I do?
If you have another e-mail address you can use, you can register again immediately using that alternate email address. After midnight on the day following your initial registration attempt, you can change the e-mail address you have on record at www.bge.com.
If you do not have another e-mail address you can use, you may re-register after midnight on the day following your initial registration attempt.
I completed the registration process but I used my home e-mail address and I am at work (or vice versa). How can I complete the registration process?
If you cannot access the email account you identified when you created your BGE User ID and password, you will need to wait until you can access that e-mail account before you can complete the registration process.
I tried to add my BGE account but I encountered an error. What should I do?
There are several possibilities:
- You entered an incorrect 10-digit BGE account number. Your BGE account number can be entered with or without the dash.
- You entered an incorrect 'Total Amount Due' amount from one of your last three bills.
- The last four digits of the phone number or social security number you entered do not match our records.
- A family member, roommate or other person occupying your address may have already registered your account.
