Power Out or Downed Wire?
Call 1-877-778-2222 - Don't assume BGE knows

When reporting a power outage, your call goes directly to our trouble processing center for response. The system works by matching your phone number to your account, so it's important that we have your current phone number on file. If you move or change phone numbers, you can use our online account management service to update your phone number. You can also call BGE at 410-685-0123 to update your phone number. Please have your account number available when you call. Media should contact the media hotline for more information.

The outage summary updates every 5-10 minutes and numbers will fluctuate as work is performed. The numbers presented are an estimate of outages at any given and, during adverse weather / storm operations, the number of customers whose service has been restored on BGE's system since the start of the adverse weather or storm. The numbers can, and usually do, fluctuate, particularly during restoration efforts. While generally a close representation of the number of outages and number of customers restored, BGE relies on customer phone calls to determine the exact cause and location of an outage. It is critical that each and every customer call BGE to report an outage - relying on your neighbor to make the call could extend the time you are without power.
