At Baltimore Gas and Electric Company we know that educators play a critical role in teaching elementary and middle school students to take positive action in the areas of energy conservation and electrical and natural gas safety. Baltimore Gas and Electric Company’s program provides educators in our service area with practical tools that they can use in the classroom to achieve this important assignment. BGE currently sponsors the below Educational Initiatives:
Free Curriculum-based materials for the Classrooms: Baltimore Gas and Electric is offering teachers and students 12 different age-appropriate educational booklets and a newsletter free of charge. The educational booklets were developed with the assistance of utility efficiency and safety experts, teachers, parents, and curriculum specialists. The materials meet state and national educational standards for science, health and safety.
