Art Cerasani is a man on a mission. The owner of Ski Haus Sports Center and Cycleworks in Annapolis is as passionate about reducing his store’s energy use as he is about helping his customers enjoy the great outdoors.
For more than 40 years, Cerasani has outfitted his customers with an assortment of ski, skate, swim, and cycling gear. To reduce energy costs, he recently outfitted the store’s overhead lighting with energy-efficient, light-emitting diode (LED) technologies, a move that not only saves him money, but also helps reduce his business’ overall carbon footprint.
And, with incentives from BGE’s Smart Energy Savers Program®, he was able to recoup about 50% the cost of the upgrade.
