The LIEEP program helps income-eligible households with the installation of energy conservation materials in their homes at no additional cost to participants. These improvements can both reduce energy use and lower monthly utility bills. The program may provide the following types of improvements to make your home safer, healthier and more energy efficient:
Insulation in the attic, floors, and walls
Hot water system improvements
Lighting retrofits
Furnace cleaning, tuning and safety repairs
Refrigerator retrofit, if applicable
Health and safety items
Eligibility is based on your annual income and household size.

Program Overview
The Weatherization Assistance Program operated by the Department of Housing and Community Development’s Housing and Building Energy Programs section, helps eligible limited income households across the State of Maryland with the installation of energy conservation materials in their homes.
Eligibility is based on your annual income and household size. Household income must be re-certified at least once per year to remain in the program.
