Customer bills will increase effective with usage starting on Jan. 1, 2023 and as authorized by the Maryland Public Service Commission. The Fuel Fund of Maryland is a nonprofit organization that aims to be a lifeline for Maryland neighbors struggling with a home utility hardship. They assist by providing navigation through an array of financial and community resources that empower, engage, and safely connect a household in times of crisis. Fuel Fund provides assistance from donations. Households who receive help from the Fuel Fund may be asked to pay a portion of their bill in order to receive assistance.
The Fuel Fund provides financial assistance to help pay BGE bills. All BGE customers are eligible to apply. Apply on the Fuel Fund website at https://fuelfundmaryland.org/apply. BGE customers without access to the internet can apply by phone on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10am to noon at 410.235.9080.
