Can I email, mail or fax my ACN Agreement to BGE?
BGE no longer accept paper ACN Agreements. To ensure timely and accurate processing of your application, please submit your ACN Agreement online at BGE.com. ACN Agreements are processed in the order they are received. Please allow 10-14 business days to process your ACN Agreement request. A confirmation letter will be mailed to the mailing/billing address you provided on the ACN Agreement.

What is not eligible for ACN
PS (Public Service) accounts, laundry room accounts, community clubhouse accounts, swimming pool accounts, PAL (Private Area Light) and streetlight accounts are not eligible for ACN. Please contact the BGE Business Office at 1-800-685-0123 to place those accounts in your name.
3rd Party Vendors
We do not allow 3rd Party Vendors to make changes on ACN accounts by email or telephone. If you need to update the mailing address – you will need to submit a new ACN Agreement, a property address excel spreadsheet, LOA (Letter of Authority) and the SS-4 Form or 147 C Letter from the IRS for the business name.
Is a separate ACN agreement needed for each property?
No, you can list all your properties on one ACN Agreement (if your property is a multi-dwelling unit – please provide apartment/suite/unit/condo numbers and/or floors)
Why we request an SS-4 Form or 147 C Letter from you for your business name
When submitting an ACN Agreement in a business name, the BGE Credit department may require the SS-4 Form or 147 C Letter from the IRS for that business to validate the EIN on the agreement. The business name must be registered, active and in good standing with the State of MD to participate in BGE's ACN Program.
How do I submit an ACN with more than 10 properties?
What if my rental property does not have service, if I apply for ACN will it restore my service?
No, please contact the BGE Business Office at 1-800-685-0123 to start service in your name
If a service is turned off for non-payment, BGE will not notify you (landlord) and the service will not revert into the landlord's name. Please contact the BGE Business Office

How do I add properties to my current ACN agreement?

Submit an ACN Agreement online with only the additional properties you would like to add (provide one property address you have on ACN on the application "Check here if you have an ACN Agreement at any other address")
How do I delete properties from my ACN agreement? Property has been sold or you are no longer the property manager.
You are responsible for notifying BGE that you are selling the property and need to have the ACN removed.
