BGE CEO Calvin G. Butler Jr. Appearing at Bloomberg New Energy Finance Summit

BALTIMORE (March 22, 2019) – BGE Chief Executive Officer Calvin G. Butler Jr. will be featured on the main stage of the Bloomberg New Energy Finance Summit on Monday, March 25, during a panel on "Future Proofing the Utility." This plenary panel will explore how utilities are responding to emerging challenges such as lower demand for electricity, technological change, and extreme weather.

"The world is changing, our customers expect more, and evolving technology presents both opportunities and challenges to the way we do business," said Butler. "At BGE we are committed to adapting to this new reality in order to remain relevant while continuing to provide distinctive customer experiences."

Butler oversees safety, reliability, customer service, financial performance, and BGE's commitment to creating a culture of innovation and high performance. Since Butler became CEO in 2014, BGE has achieved record electric reliability, customer satisfaction, and safety performance. He is a member of BGE's Board of Directors and the executive committee of BGE's parent company, Exelon. He also serves as vice-chair of the Gridwise Alliance, an advocacy organization promoting modernization and innovation for the nation's electrical grid.

Butler will be joined by CEOs from other leading utilities during the panel, which will be livestreamed on bloomberg.com from 11:15 a.m. – noon.
