BGE Volunteers to Participate in The 6th Branch Fourth Annual “Together We Serve” Day of Service

WHO: Baltimore Gas and Electric Company (BGE)

WHAT: Fifty BGE employees will join veteran-led nonprofit organization The 6th Branch for the fourth annual ‘Together We Serve’ Day of Service, a day focused on revitalizing areas of the Darley Park community of East Baltimore. BGE volunteers will work alongside employees from CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, Constellation, Legg Mason, McCormick & Company, T. Rowe Price, Transamerica and Under Armour. As part of the revitalization effort, a total of 350 volunteers will build and install picnic tables and flower boxes as part of an ongoing greenspace renovation, remove trash from streets and alleyways along Clifton Park, and create a new sign for the Mt. Hebron Baptist Church. Volunteers will also participate in a field day with students from Fort Worthington Elementary/Middle School.

Veteran and New York Times best-selling author Wes Moore will provide remarks at the event.

WHEN: Friday, September 11

9:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. (Volunteers will be on-site with a short break for lunch and a program from 12 p.m. - 12:30 p.m.)
