BALTIMORE (September 27, 2017) – Baltimore Gas and Electric Company's (BGE) responsive website, bge.com, was ranked the second best utility website in North America according to the E Source Review of North American Electric and Gas Company Residential Websites: 2017. E Source is an independent research, advisory and information service provider focused on the energy industry.
"We are continuing to innovate in order to improve our customers' experience with BGE. Our goal is to exceed customer expectations by enhancing our online tools so they can seamlessly interact with us," said Rob Biagiotti, BGE's vice president of customer operations and chief customer officer. "Customer expectations are constantly evolving, and this recognition from E Source shows us we're on the right path."
The current version of bge.com launched in 2016, and provides anytime, anywhere access for customers. The responsive design of the site optimizes the online experience for customers from any mobile device, tablet or desktop to enable easy access to important account information.
The updated site also incorporates feedback provided by customers. Upgraded navigation improves access to services, such as reporting and checking the status of outages and viewing energy usage.
