Feb. 13-15 combine savings from Maryland's Tax Free Weekend for certain ENERGY STAR products with BGE Smart Energy Savers Program® rebates and Presidents’ Day sales
BALTIMORE (Feb. 11, 2016) – Baltimore Gas and Electric Company (BGE) customers who are in the market for a new appliance, are encouraged to take advantage of Shop Maryland Energy weekend. From Feb. 13–15, 2016, customers can purchase ENERGY STAR certified appliances without paying the state’s 6 percent sales tax on select models. Shoppers can maximize their savings by combining the rebates regularly offered by BGE’s Smart Energy Savers Program with discounts offered by retailers and manufacturers to celebrate Presidents’ Day Weekend.
“Customers looking to purchase big household items like appliances can truly get a great deal this time of the year,” said Chris Walls, BGE Residential Energy Efficiency Programs Manager. “Even better, ENERGY STAR products require less energy, leading to savings over the long term.”
During Shop Maryland Energy weekend, the following ENERGY STAR certified products are tax free and also rebated by the BGE Smart Energy Savers Program:
