These are just a few examples of BGE's commitment to arts and culture. We're proud to support all of our many partnerships throughout Central Maryland.
Art with a HeartBGE often partners with the local non-profit, Art with a Heart, to bring visual arts to the community. Art with a Heart has played a critical role in our employee volunteering program and our 200th Anniversary celebration. Throughout 2016, Art with a Heart, BGE volunteers and community members have worked to create and install over 100 beautiful mosaics for schools, libraries, business, and more in communities throughout central Maryland.
ArtscapeArtscape is America’s largest free arts festival, attracting more than 350,000 attendees over the three-day period. BGE looks forward to participating in Artscape every year and was extremely excited to be the main sponsor in honor of our 200th Anniversary.
BGE recognizes and participates in cultural festivals and celebrations in our community and with our Employee Resource Groups.

Asian-Pacific Heritage Month
The BGE employee resource group, Asian American Resource Group, focuses on enabling members to achieve their maximum potential and serve as a bridge to the Asian-American community. AARG often holds educational and cultural events with a more recent event that was held to celebrate Asian-Pacific Heritage Month.Black History MonthThe employee resource group, Exelon African-American Resource Alliance, recently held a multitude of event for members, employees and more to attend in celebration of Black History Month. These celebrations included discussions about our past, present, and future, game night, and community involvement.
National Hispanic Heritage MonthBGE proudly supports our employees involved in the OLE, Organization of Latinos at Exelon, Employee Resource Group. OLE organized a Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration that was held at BGE to recognize hispanic culture and award Community Service awards to individuals that have made a positive impact in the Hispanic community in Central Maryland.
