We understand that a power outage can make this already challenging time even more difficult. When adverse weather affects our service area, BGE is prepared. If you experience a power outage or need to report a downed wire, please call 877.778.2222. BGE crews are following CDC guidance for social distancing and personal protection while working as safely and quickly as possible to restore power. BGE asks all customers, including those with smart meters, to report their outage. Outages may also be reported online, by texting OUT to MYBGE (69243), and via BGE’s free mobile app available today at the Apple Store or GooglePlay. BGE crews work as safely and quickly as possible to restore power.

BGE is focused on the environment not only with the grants we award, but also the organizations we support through partnerships and volunteer opportunities.
The Employee Resource Group, ECO Team, focuses on events and volunteering in our community that support Exelon and BGE's commitment to the environment by promoting, supporting and driving "green" business practices. Previous events have included maintenance at the Irvine Nature Center, Recycling with the Ravens, Urban Farming at Whitelock, and more.
BGE often puts the passion of our employees to good use through volunteering. BGE has supported many volunteer opportunities that have an environmental focus. A few examples include working with the Baltimore Community Tool Bank, Blue Water Baltimore, Real Food Farm and more.
