BGE is actively monitoring the remnants of Hurricane Ian. If you experience a power outage or need to report a downed wire, please call 877.778.2222. BGE asks all customers, including those with smart meters, to report their outage. Outages may also be reported online, by texting OUT to MYBGE (69243), and via BGE’s free mobile app available today at the Apple Store or GooglePlay. BGE crews work as safely and quickly as possible to restore power.
BGE works to build interest in energy careers, build the types of skills necessary to succeed, and increase awareness of job opportunities with utilities. BGE is proud to work with over 70 scholars a year.
In addition to providing scholarships to our BGE Scholars, BGE also works with students to provide them with career exposing and student enrichment opportunities. These include internships, mentors, and job shadow opportunities.
The BGE Scholars Award will provide merit-based scholarships to eligible students of up to $5,000 each year. Central Scholarship, a Baltimore-based nonprofit, will administer the scholarship program on BGE's behalf.
