Customer bills will increase effective with usage starting on Jan. 1, 2023 and as authorized by the Maryland Public Service Commission. The average residential electric bill will increase by $2.97 per month and the average residential natural gas bill will increase by $3.08 per month. See bge.com/myp for details.
Electric vehicle (EV) drivers are looking for easy, convenient places to charge their vehicles and now more than ever they expect to do so at their jobs and apartment complexes. EV charging as an additional home or work amenity improves overall customer satisfaction and increases customer and employee retention. Furthermore, as fuel prices rise and emission standards continue to get tighter, businesses could benefit financially by investing in fleet electrification to reduce their bottom line.
Property owners could receive up to $30,000 in rebates for adding EV charging to their property. BGE offers a 50% rebate on the cost of equipment (Level 2 chargers and Direct Current Fast Charging), warranty and installation. You can receive up to $5,000 per eligible Level 2 charging port and up to 50% on the cost of eligible direct current fast charging (DCFC) equipment and installation up to $15,000. That’s up to $30,000 in rebates* for each commercial property you own within BGE’s service area.
You may also receive additional savings through state and federal rebates and incentives. For more information, visit the DOE website or MEA website.
*Rebates are limited and available while supplies last.
