Outages may also be reported online, by texting OUT to MYBGE (69243), and via BGE’s free mobile app available today at the Apple Store or GooglePlay. Home Energy Analysis The What Uses Most tool is an easy way to identify the top energy users in your home. It separates your energy use by heating and cooling type, appliances, water heating, lighting, and other components so you're able to see at a glance where you could reduce your usage and save money.
The tool is also easy to use; login to your account and complete the What Uses Most questionnaire. Once complete, you will receive a personal Home Energy Analysis with detailed information about your home's energy use and customized savings tips to help you save and become more energy efficient.

Energy Savings Day Alerts You can sign up to get Energy Savings Day phone, text and/or email alerts so you know when to save energy and how much you saved after an event.
High Usage Alerts Get notified by phone, text and/or email when your usage is trending higher than usual. Available to customers with smart meters and 12 months of usage at their address, the High Usage Alert compares your usage to the same month last year and can provide an early warning when your bill is trending higher. You can also set an alert threshold to notify you when your bill is projected to be higher than a specific amount each month.**
Weekly Usage Reports Receive weekly email reports that contain personalized savings tips, a projection of your next bill, and a breakdown of your energy usage each day that week to identify when you use the most.
Home Energy Reports Get an email and/or paper report that includes energy usage data provided by your smart meter, energy-saving tips, and easy-to-read graphs to help you understand the way your household uses energy and find smart ways to make your home more efficient.
PeakRewards℠ Alerts PeakRewards Air Conditioning and Electric Water Heater program participants can sign up to receive an email and/or text at the start and end of cycling events.
Signing Up for Alerts Is Easy Just head to the My Alerts & Notifications page in the My Profile section of your online account. For all types of notifications, you can be alerted by email, text or phone – or all three.
*Message and data rates may apply. If you'd like to receive text messages, you must opt in and provide your cell phone number. You may cancel your alert subscription at any time. However, you will be unsubscribed from all BGE text messages.
**You must have 12 months of billing data to receive High Usage Alerts. Bill threshold option is not available for Budget Billing customers and those who have chosen an energy supplier other than BGE.
The perfect companion to your online account tools, your Home Energy Report delivers a snapshot of your usage right to your mailbox. This report is available to customers with smart meters and the frequency is determined by your average energy use.
